Uncle Howard was my "Godfather", he and Aunt Emily were my "Godparents" I am Del Blehm and Janet Clarks daughter. It has been years since I have seen or even talked to Uncle Howard. I visited them at their house in Tacoma and grew up with them being a big influence in my life. Rest in Peace Uncle Howard, now you are with Aunt Emily. Hod was one of my musical mentors and one of my very favorite people. I played in two bands with him. I loved him dearly.##imported-begin##Ruth Smith Crook##imported-end##
Living so far away I missed the opportunity to have a close relationship with Howard and Emily, which is my loss. However, my memories of them are drawn from many years ago. Emily was a voice of energy, love, acceptance and tenderness. I think I could here her smile on the phone with her musical voice. Howard was the strength behind her. As time went by Howard showed the depths of his devotion to be unlimited. They were a special couple and will be remembered fondly.##imported-begin##John Weber##imported-end##
Uncle Hod, you were always such a special person in our lives.
We have such fond memories of all the good times we shared. Your great nephews, Elliott and Dwight, always remembered the deep sea fishing and the tour of the army base where you worked. They loved the trip to Bremerton and all the sights you showed them.
You were such a great caregiver to our Aunt Emily and we praise you for your compassion.
We can see the smile on your face as you see our Heavenly Father, and your beautiful wife, welcoming you home.##imported-begin##Russ and Germaine Bryant##imported-end##
