This is Aleta. Marian was my boss at Tacoma Public Library. I loved her so much. She loved you all and Bill so much! Hjah! I'm so sad to read that Bill and Marian are gone to be with the Father.
I'm working in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia for the past two decades and saw Marian's name still on my mailing list.

Bill was a nice person and totally honest always. He was the kind of guy that always had something funny to say and could light up a room. We are sorry that his life was cut short. We will miss him and God Bless his family. Randy and Darla
There are simply too many memories to list them all here. Bill provided us all with lots of laughs, and I'll forever be grateful for the fun times we shared. He and I had a ton of friendly rivalries when we were both younger, whether it was ping pong, basketball, bridge or whatever, and in every case Bill kept the focus on the fun and the laughter.
Maybe the deepest rivalry between us, however, became Notre Dame v. USC Football. As it happens, I'm going to South Bend for the very first time to attend the game this October. I know Bill will be there with me in spirit!

I was lucky enough to meet Bill one time and that was at Geoff and Nikki's wedding.
He was very excited his Son and Nikki were FINALLY getting martied, he was saying how much they both complimented eachother and how Nikki motivated Geoff and how Geoff keeps Nikki calm. He was very happy and even said how nice it would be if there was an addition to the family from them.
From the short interaction I had with him I just loved his attitude and the way he was sporting his bright blue shoe laces, they were cool and stood out to me.
He was very impressed about the entire wedding and how everything turned out so beautifully. I can tell he will be a very missed man and thought of often. I wish his family peace, healing and comfort knowing he is at rest and obviously loved his family heart and soul. RIP Bernadette Carson

Aside from the goofy faces and great sense of humor, Bill was always drumming his fingers. Soon after getting my drum set, he sat down and played for a few. This memory will never fade. Looking back I believe Bill is the reason I picked the drums. Great guy, I feel blessed that he was my uncle. I will miss him very much.

"Richard marches to the beat of his own drum, doesn't he?" Bill once said of me. He was the chillest of all the friends' dads I knew, He'd be whistlin', something like Rocky Raccoon or some complex ballad, or watchin' basketball, but always observant, poignant, funny, & cool. I really regret not hanging out more. My closest friend's-dad. I will sorely miss him.
Bill has been a friend and brother in law for 45 years. I had the pleasure of growing up with him and will dearly miss the times we spent together. His sense of humor and loyalty to my sister has been most appreciated.
