Loving son, brother, father, grand-father passed away unexpectedly at his home on Anderson Island on July 17th, 2008.
Bill was born in Munich, Germany. He lived briefly in Paris, France (his Mother's birthplace) attending private schools & getting to know his extensive family in France & Italy. He moved to Tacoma where his love of sports landed him on the Jr High & High School Varsity Football & Track teams. Some of his best memories were the friendships made with others who shared his passion for athletics.
He joined the Army serving his country between 1965-1968. Bill was proud of his service in Vietnam as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division.
Bill had many varied interests from; Submarines, Tall Ships, NASA Space Exploration to collecting Betty Boop Memorabilia & beautiful statues. He loved to draw. We all loved getting mail from Bill. His letters & envelopes were always beautifully decorated with cartoons & drawings. He had an incredible imagination & his personality & humor came through in all that he did. Always interested in learning something new he took Karate & Tae Kwan Do lessons with his son William & brother Andy.
