William Irving Bloom (Sr.)'s Obituary
Bill grew up the 2nd oldest of 10 children in Ohio. He joined the United States Army and traveled to Germany (where he was stationed with Elvis). He left the Army and settled in Washington where he met and married Marilyn (Smith). He died peacefully at home with his loving wife and daughters at his side. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Marilyn, his daughters Diana Bloom Willoughby (Tim), Trisha Richardson (Robert), and his son William I. Bloom Jr. He also leaves seven grandchildren (Jamielyn Arndt (Nick), Megan Willoughby, Katie Willoughby, Brandon Richardson, Ashlyn Richardson, Mitchell Bloom, and Tanner Bloom), and 4 great grandchildren (Preston, Avery, Aksel, and Asher). His siblings (Barbara, Irma, Irvin, David, Wilma Jean, Doris, and Pam) live in Ohio with their families. His nieces, nephews, and countless friends will miss him as well. Bill shared a special bond with his "Pal" and nephew, Matt Goodner. He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings (Sid and Tim). He was known as Sweetie, Hon, Dad, Blue (CB), Willie Bill (jeeping), Mr. Bill (espresso stand), Santa, Pops, Papasan, Gramps, Grandpa. Bill always put his family first. He had a variety of interests including camping, bowling, jeep racing, helping at the school, going to the ocean, working on cars, making things (tables, wind chimes, hot pads, etc.), boating, fishing, hunting, coaching, Y Indian Guides, espresso, scratch tickets, going to the casino, and making friends. He always had dogs and especially loved Smokey and Lovey, his 2 Yorkshire Terriers. Everyone was Bill's friend.
Memorial to be held at Graham Emmanuel Baptist Church (22316 106th Ave. E Graham, WA 98338) on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 1:30 PM.
