Dearest Marilyn, Trisha, Diana, and Billy,
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for welcoming me into your home when I was a wee one- many many years ago. I remember my father and mother- Mr. Larry and Sue Kaperick - dropping me off at your home and into the hands of your care while they had to go to work. I do remember times I cried and yet you lovingly welcomed me with open arms. I remember the yummy smell of fresh toast and butter, the good times when Trisha and I played together, the days of milkman deliveries, Bluebirds gatherings (like girl scouts) and as I do recall if I'm not mistaken, "Mr. Bloom" had a motorcycle! I believe I took a ride on that motorcycle and just loved it! (I really hope my memory is correct- it was only 45-47 years ago). You lovingly adopted me as "Laurie"! Well, if Mr. Bloom could look down upon me now, I would hope he would smile proudly. Your little Laurie has accomplished things that was beyond her wildest dreams and capabilities. After graduating from Lincoln High School, I flew to New Hampshire and attended Bible School- Fairwood Bible Institute for three years. On July 15, 1989, I married a wonderful hubby and we are blessed with five children. We have settled in Bedford, NH. The third child is handicapped which has forced me to drive all over NH for 21 years and meet all kinds of doctors and surgeons to help him survive. I am currently working as a recess supervisor for Peter Woodbury Elementary School. And I have been involved in ballet classes and performed in the Nutcracker (Parent party scene) for Southern NH Dance Theater. My last visit to WA was in 2007 when Mom passed away. I am saddened to know that "Mr. Bloom" passed away. I can still see his smile and hear him call my name. Thank you Mr. Bloom and Marilyn for not only taking me into your home but into your hearts as well.
Sincerely,
Laura Street (Kaperick)

P.S. I am on facebook if you would like to see me and my children. Marilyn- I wished I could have visited you when I came to WA in 2007 when Mom passed but I got real sick and barely survived the flight back home. Please keep in touch. I miss you and thank you dearly for taking care of me in my younger years. My father notified me that Bill had passed today.
Bill was a wonderful friend to Fred, me and my three children (LaVon, David, and Charleen) and a second grandpa to my grandchildren, Phillip, Steven, Anthony, Brandon, Katelyn, Ryan, Jarrett and Kenny. He was that friend that would help you at any time of day or night, babysit, fix your car, help you move and just come over and visit and have coffee. Will miss him terribly. Bye for now my dear friend tell Fred hi for me.
