I am sorry that I missed the funeral, but I work nights and did not see the obituary until too late.

It was my great pleasure to work with Bill at Point Defiance Park. As an employee at Fort Nisqually, I saw Bill on a regular basis and I always enjoyed our conversations as he shared stories of his family and your many camping adventures together. He was so proud of his wife and children. I have missed working with Bill ever since he retired. He was a wonderful man. My condolences to you. He will be missed but he will also be remembered fondly in many a heart.

I will always smile when I think of Bill. He was an honest man, willing to help at any time or share a laugh if need be. I appreciate the time that I got to spend with him and your family. There are many memories of Bill around here, when we look at certain things or do a particular job, so rest assured he will not be forgotten. I am proud to have known him. I am so sorry for your loss, Bill was a man I could look up to and admire. Things never seemed to get Bill down. You are in my prayers. I will always remember his kind smile and laugh.
I started my fulltime work with Metro Parks with Bill working nights at Point Defiance. I cherish the memories of that time and will think of Bill as I drive through the Point or walk through the Zoo.
