I will miss Uncle Wes with all my heart. I remember all the fun he created during family gatherings. New Year's Eve gatherings were so special to me, I recreated them when I had my own family. I take comfort in knowing he's in a better place with his brothers, his sister and so many others who have gone before him. I bet they are having their own family talent shows and Uncle Wes is entertaining everyone.
Aunt Laurice, you and the boys are in my heart and in my prayers while you walk this difficult journey.
Love to each one of you,

Laurice,
Bernie and I kept both Wes and you in our prayers everyday. We prayed for a miracle, and asked God to heal Wes. I feel so bad that I haven't checked my e-mail in a while. I know in my heart he is with his savior now. We all loved Wes so much. I hope our conversations together over the past few months were of some help. Our love and prayers are with you and your family now. Everyone that had the privilege of knowing Wes will miss him; he has touched so many people and was special to all. I know I will miss him, I already do, but I will never forget him. Men like Wes are rare and all of us that knew him were certainly blessed.
Please call me if I can be of any help.
May God Bless You,##imported-begin##Robert D Hanson##imported-end##
Dear Laurice, Ken, Carl, Keith and families,
Mother and I were so saddened to find out of Wes' passing. We were so glad, however, to have spent the afternoon together back in August. I can't begin to express how blessed I feel to have been able to be with him then.
I have such wonderful childhood memories of your entire family, but most memorable was when Wes asked me as a teen to teach little children at church on Wednesday nights. That was the beginning of years of teaching.
I pray God will bless you in the coming months. Praise the Lord we know where Wes is and will join him someday.
Let Keith and Candy know that if they are in San Antonio to look us up. We are worshipping at Oak Hills.
Much Love,

Wes was such a wonderful man! You could sure see his master's reflection in his life!##imported-begin##John and Julie Broam##imported-end##
What a wonderful, joyful man was our Uncle Wes. We always loved it when Uncle Wes and Aunt Laurice came to town because Grandma Fleming would make all the extra special goodies. He was (almost,ha!)always willing to share. In turn, we shared our babies with him when he visited because he always missed his own grandbabies. They were very willing substitutes! What a blessing to have had the honor to know and love Uncle Wes. We miss him and will keep you all in our prayers.
All our love,

Our deepest sympathies to the family. Wes will be deeply missed but heaven has gained one fine resident. We will miss his warm smile, his laugh, the twinkle in his eye and his firm handshake. We are so sorry.##imported-begin##Margie, Melody, Micah, Joel & Jeremy##imported-end##

I served in the Guard with Wes for a good many years. I regarded him as a real gentleman and a friend.##imported-begin##Stephen A. Strom##imported-end##
