Vorelle T. Bauer's Obituary
Vorelle T. Bauer was born June 9, 1922 on a homestead in Valier, Montana to Oline and Charles Cook.
During her youth she moved with her family to Hamilton and Darby, Montana. She attended beauty school and opened her own shop in Philipsburg, Montana, where she met her soul mate, Bob Bauer.
During WWII she moved to Tacoma, Washington to work for Boeing in the war effort and to await the return of her husband. After Bob's safe return they started their family, and she helped Bob with the business end of his construction company. Her life centered around her family and friends. She was a 4-H leader and scout leader, PTA president (Acorn Award), and belonged to several dance clubs as well as supporting her children's and husband's interests.
Bob preceded her in death after 67 years of marriage, as well as her parents, son Dennis, son Charles, brothers Dale, Waldon, and Steen, and sisters Joyce and Esther. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Kirkwood, and grandchildren Tom, Michelle, Sybil, Laci, and Karly, as well as 18 great-grandchildren.
Our hearts are broken, but we feel extremely lucky to have had her as long as we have. The values she taught will live on. It has been a wonderful life.
The family would like to thank the Nisqually Valley Care Center in McKenna for the loving care they gave Vorelle.
There will be a memorial service at Mountain View Cemetery in the Celebration of Life Building on March 2, 2013 at 11:00.
