I only knew her through peoples store, but I knew her all my life. She watched me grow up from the time mom was carrying me, til I was born and mom brought me to the store to show her.(1960) She always called me princess. All the years and milestones of school clothes scout uniforms and prom dresses. Til the sad day I told her my mom had passed. I always looked forward to seeing her there, she was always so friendly and helpful. I almost felt like she was an adopted aunt. Right up to the time the store closed. I'm happy to know she continued to have a long, happy, fulfilling, travel filled, life with a wonderful family. She will be very much missed.

Growing up Virginia was always a happy, and fun loving person. You always enjoyed being around her. She had personality plus, she never lost her youthfulness and was well liked.
She must have had a million funny stories to tell and often she would call me up, tell me the story and then hang up the phone leaving me in stitches. At other times, call to give me some bit of information on family history or to see if I knew about something she felt was important for me to know. If a person could pick their relative she would be the one that you would choose. I feel lucky to have had her as family in my life.
She was my Aunt, and my Godmother. I loved her and she will be greatly missed.
