I met Pearl 42 years ago, thru her daughter Donna. I visited the house on North Gove many times! She raised a wonderful family, & I remember wishing that I could have been a member of that family. She was strict, but gracious; & always welcomed me. Rest in peace Pearl. I am so glad to have met you!
With sadness I write this.....The saddest thing was NOT seeing Pearl outside. How she loved her gardens and just enjoying life OUTSIDE. I thank her for the convos over the fence, the great zucchini bread recipe that I STILL make, her doing our paper and watering my flowers when we were out of town. She will be missed terribly. I hope she's free from the pain that took her so early. I know she's looking down on her family and smiling and thinking how lucky she was to have them by her side!!! Ruben was a godsend to her. What a lucky gal to have him care for her needs 24/7 when she fell ill. I hope you have a lawn to mow up there sweet lady!! Lots of memories being her neighbor for 33 yrs. R.I. P. Miss Pearl. You are missed already.
My Most fondest memories are my summers spent at your house. Picking berries, making Jam and Banana bread, Climbing the cherry tree in the backyard and eating cinnamon toast with cocoa every night before bed. I will miss you calling "Jennybug" from the bottom of the stairs and your warm bear hugs. I will hold on to our laughs and long talks. I will remember you in your garden happy and smiling. Thank you for those memories, I will hold them dear to my heart for the rest of my life.
