Uncle Vern was a special human being who gave much of himself to others thus contributing to others success in life. He will always be remembered through many everyday things like the beauty of flowers blooming upon a hill, in the waving fields, the sunshine's warmth upon our faces, in the sounds of a tranquil babbling brook and the whisper in the trees. I am happy he was granted more time on this earth plane to spend with his close family before departing to his home with God. I know he loved his family with all that he was and this with precious memories will be their sustenance now as they reflect and know that he is still with them in spirit.
May God wrap each family member in his arms and bring comfort and much love to you in the days to come.
With much heartfelt love to each of you -- you are in our prayers during this difficult time.
Love,

I worked with Barb Sherrill for 7 years and got to know her family through her and met Vern on a couple of occassions. He was a much loved family member and I extend my deepest sympathies. Because I was out of state, regretfully I was unable to attend his service. My prayers are with you.##imported-begin##Jolene Holloway##imported-end##
Mrs. Leach, we are sorry we were not able to be at the service, as we are in southern Calif., working. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Mr. Leach was a true icon of the church; he will be so sorely missed. Take care, and God bless. Love, Barb & Ken##imported-begin##Ken & Barbara Smith##imported-end##
Our love and our prayers go out to Aunt Priscilla and all of your family. Uncle Vern will truly be missed, but will live in all of us that knew him and his kindness. God Bless.##imported-begin##Kim and Ron Browning##imported-end##

I did my student teaching at Clover Park H.S. and then began my teaching career there the year that Vern retired. I had the privilege of sharing some times with him at school and in the early years after his retirement. I will always remember his gentle spirit, humor and simply his voice -- his words were worth listening to. God's peace to the family.##imported-begin##David A. Kangas##imported-end##
