Vera L. McMillan's Obituary
Vera was born in Traverse City, Michigan on February 14, 1913 to William and Blanche Stewart, and died July 4, 2006.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Hugh Stewart, and sister Wilma Hamilton. Vera is survived by her husband Ian, son Duncan (Julie), granddaughters Kristin (Matt) and Angie (Leon), step-grandson Gary Ross, great-grandchildren Emma, Ian and Van.Vera graduated from Lincoln High School in 1931. She was one of Â"The OctoÂ'sÂ", eight ladies that graduated with her and remained friends all these years. She was a Â"Sweet AdelineÂ", a clogger, and a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Allegria Dance Club and Memory Singers. She loved to dance and play the organ. We want to thank the wonderful people at Heartwood Extended Care. She had loving care from all of them. Born on ValentineÂ's Day, died on Independence Day.Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 10, 2006 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
