I met Vee through my mom and dad, Howard and Lee Stanton. My mom and Vee grew up together and graduated from Stadium High together, and laughed together every summer that I can remember, as well. I was a baby when I met Vee and Ed and now am 56. They were more than friends. They were beloved family as are Sherry, Tracey and Wendy. One of my fondest memories is very recent. Vee at 95, and her wonderful friend Lois Mower and I played "The Game" (Rummikube) together last summer in her rest home apartment. We laughed and had so much fun, it was hard to concentrate! :) But, (with only one little hint by me) Vee started her move and went on to win the game!! She was pretty proud of that. We had a big hug when I left with a promise of a replay soon. It was one of our "finest hours." Love to you always, Jean##imported-begin##Jean (Stanton) Browne##imported-end##
Thank you all very much for your warm and kind thoughts. Grandma was the last of her kind and the end of an era. I will miss her each day and I hope she finds her way from Heaven down to Chicago (You know how she always got lost or side-tracked) to view our wedding celebration. Thanks to all who loved her and were blessed to know this calm and kind women. She is the definition of a "lady"##imported-begin##Wendy Brown##imported-end##
Even though it has been several years since I've lived in Wapato Park Sherry, I'll always remember your Mom's precious sweet character and beautiful ready smile for all. I'm so glad you had her close for all these years. God be with you and your daughters at this sad time in your lives.
Love,

I'm sending this on behalf of my mother, Gail Pederson. She wanted to let you know how special her friendship with Veatrice was. She enjoyed the many years she and Veatrice shared in Alling Park Garden Club. She also enjoyed the times times she visited Veatrice at her home on the lake and the beautiful roses that Veatrice had. I took my mom several times to visit Veatice at People's Retirement Home and so I got to know her as well. She was a very sweet and gracious lady. I wish we could have visited her just one more time. God bless you and your family at this time.
With love,
Gail Pederson

Vee- I remember your kindness to me as a little child and I wish I could have told you how special you were to my grandmother (Lois Mower) and my family. I remember my cousins and I would come over to see you and you always smiled and gave us some little goody... and I remember the mornings when you would come over to grandma's and eat breakfast with us. Though the times may seem insignificant to some, we will miss your quiet, loving presence so much. I know that you are now blessing Jesus with that same sweet smile and loving presence.

Thank you Lord for giving Vee to us!
Much Love to you, Vee, and your family,

Dear Sherry,Tracy and Wendy,
My heart is breaking along with yours knowing that Vee is gone. She was so much a part of our family for so many years. There will be a huge void in any future family celebrations without Vee being there. I am so glad I got one last chance to visit her last Tuesday afternoon. I will always remember her kind heart and sweet smile. We all feel blessed for having had the opportunity to know her. She was so much more than a neighbor to all of us, we all felt she was part of our family.
We know we will see her again one day in heaven but we will miss her greatly until that time.
Love and prayers to all of you,
Joseph and Linda Turner##imported-begin##Linda Turner##imported-end##
