Valeria Ruth Lugo's Obituary
Valeria Ruth Lugo, age 65, of Tacoma, went to meet her savior on Sunday, April 6, 2014, surrounded by her family. Valeria was born on June 7, 1948 in Marion, Illinois to Leo Edward Young and Beulah Bee Hughes. On November 19, 1968 she married Baudilio Lugo; they were married 45 years. Valeria loved to care for people and spent many years working as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her skill as a seamstress was greatly appreciated by many, as were her world famous brownies. Valeria especially loved spending time with her family and church family. She came into Pentecost while the family was stationed in Germany in 1981. Shortly after moving to Tacoma, Washington in 1983 she became a member of Heritage Pentecostal Church (formerly Tacoma UPC) and faithfully attended for 31 years. Valeria was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Anton Bartholomew Young. Valeria is survived by her uncle, Eardle JR Morgan; her husband Baudilio; her four children and their spouses, Michelle (and Owen), Daniel (and Rachel), Carmen (and Christopher), Benjamin (and Amy); her 9 wonderful grandchildren, Madelynn, Nathaniel, Aaron, Desi, Kendall, Dinah, Riddick, Judah, Carmelita, and high expectations for more. She also leaves behind her two adoring Yorkies and a cat.
