Dis is sabrina jenkins i used to go to bethel high school and I graduated in 1998....Tynee was my favorite laundry lady at bethel high school she was a sweet woman and we talk alot when I went there....I was soo hurt when someone told me bout her passing.....am sorry for her family and friend's.....
I was always welcome into the Swick Family home, and outings. Loving the kitchen as much as Tynne did. She bestowed her favorite "Monster Cookie" recipe to me. I have used that cookie recipe to win many baking contests, and at one time, a dozen of Tynne Swick's "Monster Cookies" went for $200 for two dozen at a fund raiser I went to. What a great lady and friend Tynne was to me , may our Lord Jesus Christ take her into his arms, comfort her and make her whole again. R.I.P. Tynne, Love Always, Ronnie Bingham
Tynne was very special. She came to my house for my son Vernon graduation party. She cared about everyone. She will be missed.
Tynne was an angel to people who barely knew her, and even more so to those of us lucky ones who knew her well . She opened her home, her heart, and her delicious kitchen to us as students and athletes and we were thankful to have had her an an honorary grandmother. I remember receiving the "Tynne Swick" award for basketball and thinking to myself, "I wish that I can be half as gracious, kind, and loving as a woman like that." She will forever be missed here on Earth, but Heaven is now a far better place with her in it.
I feel so blessed I had the opportunity to meet Tynne many years ago. I remember how accepted I felt being around her. My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the family. Deepest sympathy to all my Swick cousins. It's been a very sad couple of months and my heart goes out to each and every one of you. As this generation of cousins get smaller, I hope our generation can maintain our connection. Tynne was always such fun to be around and I loved seeing her at our family reunions. There are so many memories we all could share, but for me what really sticks out is the feeling of acceptance into the family of not only myself but later in life when I married and had my own family. My family was just another extension of Tynne's family as she never missed the opportunity to ask about "her kids". Of course, if you made the mistake of telling Glenn you weren't doing anything the chores immediately stacked up and the appeal of being a Swick kid turned to work. Now Tynne and Glen are starting their story book romance once again. Our sadness of her passing has turned into her joys of an eternal life in God's house with the love of her life. When we meet again I will look for the pies, cakes and cookies on top of the fridge in the mud room off of the kitchen door!
