I never realized that he was such a decorated soldier. We will make sure Alexandra never forgets her grandpa.
My beloved uncle/godfather Tom was a beloved and charming, pragmatic and down-to-earth, gentle and loving human. I loved his dead-pan wit. I only wish that I could have seen him more often. He left me many good memories, & he would always bring me, as a child, a trinket from somewhere exotic in his travels - dolls from Yugoslavia, harem rings from Iran, kimonos from the far East, a music box with a dancing ballerina from Germany. I will think of him often.
