Mr (SGM) Henderson was a very special person to the Troy family. He was a cherished friend of my parents and a very positive influence to my sister and I. Always a vote of confidence and a positive word toward life and it's many challenges. He will be missed, cherished in heaven as he was on earth. RIP SGM and keep the Soldiers sharp and in line up there.

I tried to send a notes earlier, but it disappeared, so I'm trying again to express that SGM Henderson was my SGM in DIRMAT and I was assigned to DIRPA. He always had our back on ensuring equality for us young leaders. We could always come to SGM when we had problems or just needed to hear his wisdom in the military. When I meet up with SGM again, we served together at Grace Chapel in Sunday School. His Leadership on Active Duty and as a Sunday Teacher was inspiring. It was nice to always be able to call him My Sergeant Major. I loved and appreciate all he imparted in my life.
It is very pleasant to reflect on Bro Henderson. The last time of saw him in the nursing
home he was very peaceful and and conversation was very easy. I got the impression
that he was ready to go home to be with the Lord whenever the time came. I am glad he
doesn't need to suffer any longer. My prayers and thoughts are for the comfort of his
wife, Hildegard, and family as they reflect and mourn for this dear loved one. I also
enjoyed his fervent singing of the hymns at church. To God be the glory.
