I knew Terry while she was a volunteer at the Lakewood Police Dept. She always had great stories to tell and was a joy to be around. She was so energetic and dedicated, a great example for us to emulate. I feel blessed to have known her. She will be missed. Sandi Stauffer
So many memories; so many happy times that we have shared with our families and our "Tizi" Terry.
Her faith, spirit and willingness to help was felt within the family as well as her community. Her love of her heritage was always visible in her talk and her actions.
There is no one besides Terry and Rose who could dance and enjoy themselves no matter what! We'll dance here on earth because I know they are dancing in heaven to "New York, New York." So proud and fortunate to have been a part of her life and I

I worked at the Pierce County Sheriff's Department in Lakewood (prior to Lakewood becoming a city) when Terry Roy volunteered there. Everyone quickly got to know Terry and her dynamic, energetic, compassionate, fun spirit!! Terry was such a hard worker and helped out in so many ways--she had enough energy for 2 people at least! Those of us who worked with Terry were treated like family and invited to her home for feasts that were out of this world yummy!! Terry could cook like nobody's business, and hosted guests as if they were kings and queens. There was always plenty of laughter when Terry was around, and deputies and leaders loved to joke and kid around with Terry--she could hold her own with all of them! She was feisty and fun, diligent and super conscientious, open hearted and generous, full of faith and purpose, and gave all to her family, friends, commitments, church and community. What a blessing to the world, and I am so grateful to have known her and have been counted a friend. I so admire her tight-knit family and their wonderful values and example. We are so very lucky to have the Roys among us! My love and blessings to all the family!

Blessings to all of her family at this tough time. As a dear friend of her daughter-in-law, I had the pleasure of some good times with Terry. Every time I was with her, she taught me something. She taught what a welcoming hostess looked like, even when you were not in good health. She taught me that bread could be canned, shipped and shared all across the world with loved ones. She taught me that passion doesn’t have to slow as we age and compassion never stops. She taught me that health wasn’t an excuse to stop showing others that you love them through your service. She taught me that one more at the table was a pleasure not a burden. But most important, she taught me that “Once a Catholic always a Catholic” which was her way of saying you never leave the church family. Robert (moe), Kristi, Nico, Robin and family. I was very saddened to here of your mother's, and grandmother's passing. I didn't spend alot of time around her but when I did she always made me feel like family. She carried so much joy and love in her heart. She diffinately had a bright soul of which she has passed down to her children and their children. My last visit with Terry was at Charlotte's graduation party in Steilacoom. I visited what seemed like hours with her and Anne. My memories were of laughter. I was also so attracted to her beautiful accent and her kind words. Terry will be missed but what legacy she has left behind. To love people, to be kind, to live life fully. My heart and prayers our with you all. Wonder if the party in heaven has started yet. Memories of Terry and I over the years on our adventures make me laugh. We went to singles dances together, to Florida Disney world and got lost finding our hotel, family BBQ's in her back yard, sharing lunches together over the years, listening to each other's important events in our lives. I will sorely miss my dear friend.
