Sylvia always had a positive word and helping hand as we traveled through High School (Fairmont High School - Kettering Ohio-'61) together. The compassion and leadership she exhibited served her well through all of life's journey. Her proudest achievement has always been family and friends. I had the joy of working with Sylvia at Graham Elementary in the early 1990. She was an inspiration and had a great connection with the kids. We are so sorry for your loss. I'll never forget our trip to Hawaii with your Mom and Kathy. Never one to slow down, she made the trip's memories by parasailing with us and the unmentionable snorkling incident. She made everything in life fun and an adventure and shared that with so many people. I am so thankful that she was able to meet Reeves and Annie and know that she is happy up above watching over all of you.

Brandy and Tim ~ I was so sad to hear about your mothers passing. I remember always going to your house growing up and hanging out talking to her in the kitchen. She always was prepared with quick comebacks to keep up with her two teenage kids! How she put up with all of us growing up is beyond me. And how she put up with that room of yours Brandy... she is a saint! Sylvia will be missed. I am so glad she got to see her grandchildren before she went on to bigger and better places.

I began my teaching career in the Bethel School District and had the opportunity to work with your mother for a couple of years when she was at Elk Plain Elementary. Although that has been over 20 years ago, I can recall how caring she was of her students. Please accept my condolences in your loss.
