I still remember the first time I met Sue when she would not let me enter the hallway behind the counter and made me go back outside and around the Parkland LSO building to attend Inservice. Sue was a loving and caring person. I worked with Sue as a co-worker, trainer, and Supervisor. She was always upbeat and willing to try something new. I remember the day that Don walked into the Bremerton office. Her eyes beamed and she said, "he is mine!" Sue lived her life to the fullest. I was so happy when sue asked me if she could call me mother;I felt she was including me in the love she had for her mother.
Sue was so special,she saw only the good in each person and the value and beauty in ordinary things.She truly loved life.

Sue and I were married 23 years and were always best friends. We made a point of never going to bed unhappy with each other, and it was an easy thing to do, because she never held a grudge.
She was always interested in everything and everybody. She loved to talk to people and had an amazing ability to read faces. She never dwelt on the bad times in her life. She would always say, in an upbeat way, "I'm still here".
Sue never lost the thrill of going places, whether it was somewhere she had been many times, or some place entirely new. I hope the thrill is still with her now.

Sue was the most caring person and she loved her family more than anything. She always had such funny stories to share about her sons and the life that they all shared. She loved Don and was so thankful for all of his support and love through the years. Having worked with Sue for years I have many memories that I will always cherish. Don ~ There you'd be, ash color, eyes hazed, saying, "Ah well 182 days & 4 hrs 'til I retire." Then it would happen!! Sue would walk in the office and BAM!!!!! There'd be so much light & sparkles illuminating from you...I think I had to run to my car on two occasions for my sunglasses to avoid blindness!! The funniest part is that I told her this and she just cracked up and said, "I know! Isn't it funny?! You should see what else I can make him do!"
Don ~ My personal hope & prayer for you is that you think of Sue and light up the room & your heart. Remember all the fun, exciting times and courageous adventures you shared. She couldn't have asked for a more precious, special man by her side. I am so glad you were the love she found and for how much you loved one another.
