Steven Michael Runyan's Obituary
Mike Runyan, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born April 30, 1950 in Tacoma, Washington, Mike is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beth; his daughters, Melissa Runyan (Phil Stuen) and Sheila (Corey) Doffing; his mother and father, Carol and Bill R. Runyan; his sister, Carol (Walt) Meyer; his brothers, Doug (Sue), Bill (Teresa), Ken (Kim), and Jim Runyan; 8 nieces and 11 nephews, and his beloved dogs.Mike will be remembered by all of his relatives and friends as a strong and generous man who was always there when you needed him. He was an electrician/maintenance mechanic and worked for ASARCO in Ruston for 15 years and Krusteaz/Bakery Chef in Seattle for 14 years. Mike and Beth lived in their dream home they built near Eatonville where they enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping, and raising their children. Mike loved classic cars, and the 1964 Chevy Impala SS he restored was his pride and joy.They family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians and staff at Virginia Mason Hospital for their care and support.Viewing will be from 12-9 PM on Friday, December 16, 2005 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services are at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2005 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.Memorial contributions may be made to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
