Steven E. Kluvers' Obituary
Steven Kluvers, born in Litchville, ND December 20, 1919, passed away April 8, 2016 in Tacoma, WA. Steven entered the US Army in 1941 and retired 23 years later. He loved his years in service and spent time in Europe and also Japan and Korea. After he retired from the Army he spent many years working in forestry on Fort Lewis mainly putting out the range fires stared by military training.
Steven was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Gerda, and his 2 brothers, Bud and Robert. He’s survived by daughter Victoria Riddle and son John Kluvers (Debbie). Also surviving him are a host of grand and great grandchildren.
Steven lived for more than 50 years in Tillicum and was a member of the Tillicum Baptist Church. The last 3 ½ years he’s been a resident of King’s Manor Assisted Living. The family would like to express our deep appreciation to the staff and caregivers for the compassionate and loving care he received. He was very happy living there and he loved “his people”. We can’t thank you all enough!
