I was so saddened to hear about David. I often think of the Gartland family, and have so many memories growing up in Jamaica Plain,MA. Meg, as you remember was my very best friend for many years. There are no words to say that really can make a difference to bring our loved one back at this time. David was known to me as being very outspoken, loving and really enjoyed his "beer". It gets better with time. Luckily for you, your memories of 45 years of marriage and your children will carry on with his legacy.
