Bro Ward,
I will miss you dearly. You have been a friend, a mentor, an uncle, a partner in crime, and a Brother. Your opinions, love of high school football, signature laugh, and concern for our youth will always stay with me. The service, dedication, and consistency you provided the Tacoma Alumni Chapter of which you were a charter member will be forever in your debt. Nupe, I will see you on that Golden Shore and save a spot for us all in the Chapter Invisible.
Forever Yours in the Bond,
Bro Lindsey Williams

Brother Vernon Ward, I will miss you as I continue my earthly journey. Many times when our paths have crossed, you have always had a smile and kind words.. I appreciated that and was looking so forward to seeing you next month. The Master Planner had another plan. You will be always remembered when I think of the Great Pacific NW.. Will see you on that Golden Shore !
Yours in the Bond,
Derrick Harris

My dear friend and colleague, Brother Vernon Ward, will be sorely missed for his big heart and selfless service to the Tacoma Alumni Chapter. I've never laughed & fellowshipped harder than when we were together at our retreats. Godspeed my friend!
My Brother, Educational Colleague and Friend SMG (Ret) U.S. Army Vernon Lee Ward, Sr. will be greatly missed for his caring humor and inspirational leadership in our beloved kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. We met so any years ago that I can't truly say. Once that we had met our friendship grew to be boundless. I will miss his laughter and his fidelity. You have reached That Golden Shore, Rest in Eternal Peace.
Brother Ward was my big brother when I crossed the burning sands. I will remember his hearty laugh and his uncanny ability to simply whatever issue the fraternity was battling. Here's to Brother Ward.
