Hi Mom,
Just thinking about you and missing you very much. Everyone is doing well and it was a beautiful May day today, one that I know we would have shared with you if you were still here. Don misses you very much and the girls too! Ashley is doing really well -Its hard to believe she is going to be junior next year. I love you very much and still think of you daily, you are always in my heart.##imported-begin##Susan##imported-end##
I still still think of you daily and I want to pick up the phone and call you all the time. I miss you so much.
Now I understand that we can die without ever really going away, because all the love you created is still here, and all the memories you helped to create are still here. You live on in the hearts of everyone you loved and nurtured while you were here.##imported-begin##Linda Swensen##imported-end##

Susan and family.. I was really sad to hear about Shirley's passing today. Her photo posted here brought me back to our childhood on Verde street, which seems like yesterday and forever at the same time. I went with Susan to Shirley's office (at the Port of Tacoma)once or twice...boy could Shirley type fast! As a kid in a big office, I was so impressed with watching a working woman in action! We also had a lot of fun running around the house, and we sure did test Shirley's patience on many occasions! I will always cherish that she helped to shape the lives of us young ladies. I feel lucky to have shared a small part of her life.
God Bless##imported-begin##Monica Porter##imported-end##
I did not get a chance to know Shirley as much as I would have liked to but, I did have a chance to spend some one on one time with her when we were addressing envelopes for neice Carries baby shower. At that time she let me know what her opinions were on MY life! I instantly fell in love with her! I do know she was a very giving person and loved her family with all her heart. When I told her I make my own Jam she got right into her cupboard and started giving me her jars and sieves and anything that had to do with making Jam! I was also lucky enough to take home some of her homemade Jam! I will truly miss Aunt Shirley as will Jim. (He has a great story about catching her couch on fire when he was young!) Susan the service was beautiful and we came away with a smile! Love to all of you Patty Sherrodd and Jim Fode##imported-begin##Patty Sherrodd##imported-end##
I will always remember Mrs. Mooney. I was friends with the family for years of my life when I was younger & went to school with Don. She knitted me a blanket that is pink/gray/white, I still have it to this day. She taught me how she made iced tea, with one cup of sugar. I have many great memories of the Mooney's as I grew up. I will remember her fondly.

I will always have wonderful memories of my Aunt Shirley. She was one of a kind in my book. Filled with optimism and positivity, she was always able to put one at ease when speaking with her.
I'm very upset that she's gone. I'll miss her dearly.##imported-begin##Kristopher Swensen##imported-end##
