Brian Robinson
I am a friend of Ryan's for about 27 years. I met Mrs. Gilchrist probably around the second or third year of our friendship. I'm a movie nut, so my first thought upon our introduction was she reminded me very strongly of Eva Marie Saint and had the same kind of self-assurance in the way she carried herself. She exuded grace and style effortlessly. She and Mr. Gilchrist welcomed me so very warmly and I've never forgotten that. I ended up moving to the Seattle area in 1995 and they made sure not to only welcome me to the area initially, but they continued to include me in all kinds of family holidays and special occasions. I was always very grateful for the way she and Mr. Gilchrist extended their friendship to me and if I did anything, I hope Mrs. Gilchrist knew how much I appreciated that. She was a rare and special kind of person, and I will certainly think fondly of her always.
