I was lectoring at St. Charles when I read of Sam's passing. My heart goes out to all of you at this time. When I was working at Dr. Kennedy's office, I especially remember Mary bringing plums from his garden to share with us. I've never tasted anything better! My prayers go out for Sam and his family.Sam was the husband of one of my longtime and faithful customers at Benno of Germany. Mary started coming to me shortly after I opened the first salon on K Street in 1980. At the time she worked for a Doctor next to St. Joseph's Hospital, so she would always come after work and I got to know her and her family really well because we had time to talk.Though I only met Sam a few times I thought I knew him well because Mary would always talk about him and his activities.I know Sam will be greatly missed by his family.
