Tina Parrish lit a candle in memory of Scott Lawson

Scott and I were the only 6th graders to play up on the 7th/8th grade Lakewood Lumberjacks football team. That was big time for us! We played against eachother in middle school. The big rivalry against Mann and Hudtlof. I remember all the Lakes High coaches out there watching the game. Scott put a whooping on us! It was him making crazy catches or him kicking 40 yard field goals easily. After middle school we were excited to reunite at Lakes high school as we were called up for Varsity are freshman year. Scott made it look so effortless when he was on the football field. His hard work ethic and game day highlights put on a show every Friday night at Lakewood stadium. We both went on to play D1 college football and not being planned, we both transferred to Eastern Washington University to finish out are careers. We played football with eachother a long time! Scott was hands down one of the best athletes to come out of Lakes High, a great teammate and most importantly a good friend. You will be missed but never forgotten. Rest well brotha

He was a friend almost all my life. I will never forget watching him play soccer for F.C. United, football as we went to high school, or going up to ski. He never met a sport he didnt excel at. He is a big part of all my memories through childhood & into my 30s. We always laughed together, usually just teasing each other. I will always remember his laugh, and the way he could charm anyone. I will miss him always, but hope he's at peace now. My thoughts and prayers as always are with his mom & brother.
