Sandra gone but not forgotten, never will her memory fade!
Sandra...what a special lady you are. What a good friend. We have laughed and cried together over our children. I will never forget you. I have asked my mother to meet you at the gates to heaven and to show you around and the ropes. You never knew my mom, but you will like her. She shares many of your opinions and observations.
Sandra.. think of that special place you like to go that is a favorite...then think of me and I will join you for a cup of good tea, the kind we shared with our daughters on Mother's Day for many years. It was with heartfelt saddness to learn of Sandra's passing. Sandra was my supervisor and fellow nurse at Mary Bridge Hospital for many years. Sandra was a compassionate nurse---she loved children. She was dependable and loyal to her colleagues. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a distinctive sound of laughter I'll never forget. Most of all she loved her children and family. She shared many stories of her family and grandchildren. Despite having suffered many personal losses she remained positive and upbeat. She was a real joy; I have been blessed to have known her. Sandra will be dearly missed by those who knew her. The dedication to whatever task before her professionally and personally was amazing. My deepest sympathy to all Sandra's family. While a nurse at Mary Bridge Sandra took care of our granddaughter who was born with disabilities and in the hospital many many times. My daughter always said she was the best nurse she ever had. I was fortunate to meet Sandra through the Tacoma Orthopedic Association and also volunteering with the gift shop. It was an honor to know her and work with her when we both served on the Board. She was a wonderful loving person and friend. Words do no justice nor do they summarize the feeling of emptiness that we all feel today for having lost you. Your smile, lovingness and immaculate soul have graced us all of our lives and for that we are better. I will never forget the strength in which you carried yourself through adversity and even times of joy. You were a constant source of joy and lit up the room with your glow no matter what the occasion. I know I am not alone in saying that you have made us all better people by simply knowing you and having you in our lives.
