My husband and I met Ma in 2019 when we moved in next door. Almost immediately we became her grandchildren, and never before has a family made me feel so welcomed. I’m so thankful for every family meal sitting across from her, listening to her tell me to eat more (food truly was her love language) but then laughing when my plate was larger than my husband’s. Ma’s laugh was infectious and she could find the joy in every situation. I’m going to miss the way she would steal Jeff’s drink and complain about the taste, sneak a cookie (or three) when she thought Brian wasn’t looking, and then rub my husband’s bald head for good luck. I smile when I think of the many karaoke serenades she sat through and for all the times we spent cuddled next to her on the couch, sharing popcorn and watching terrible scary movies.
Ma, I miss you so much and I feel so lucky to have known you. Because of you I got to have a grandma again.

Mom was a truly amazing woman, the kindest and most loving person we have ever known. It is such a gift for me to be a part of her world for over the past 20 years, and Liem for his lifetime.
My husband Liem and I were blessed to have mom living with us for the last 6 years. It was a privilege and honor for us to share our home, our love, our laughter and everything she ever needed and wanted.
She loved car rides short and long, to close places or through states. Frivolous adventures included trips to the casinos, where sometimes the rides home was not so joyous due to the one-armed bandits.
From dining out at fancy restaurants or just a simple hamburger for a quick bite, she enjoyed every second of it.
Everyone she met will always remember her for her radiant joy and kindness. She was always well loved by all that met her. Close friends, casual acquaintances, and even strangers were won over by her heartfelt personality.
Her life accomplishments and legacy have left us all winners of something so valuable that no monetary value can be set, or simply said all she did was priceless.
Though we grieve this hour with you, we still can’t help but picture the myriads of times we were blessed with her smile, laughter and joy. That is how we will always remember her.
Liem and I loved her more than words could possibly say, and she will live on in our hearts forever more.
