Ruff had a gentle, cheerful way of bringing his psychiatric view alongside my neurologic perspective on patients that allowed a fuller understanding of patients in such a congenial manner as no other psychiatrist I ever worked with. I cherished him immensely! They were a major blessing in my life.
The last time I spoke with Dad in person, just before he was getting on the train to leave, he said how he feels that something will happen in 2025 - and that he’s always felt that God always took care of him, watched over him. Then he gave me some very personal advice (as he often did) and we said we loved each other. I video’s the entire conversation, glad I have that memory.

Rufino was an amazing father-in-law. Funny, wise, nurturing and always the biggest support. He loved visiting us in England, spending time with Paul, the grandkids (Jude &Ilios) and enjoying all the English countryside had to offer….and let’s not forget a good English brekkie. We will forever miss and will always love him💕🙏🏻💕
My dad is the hardest working, most loving, kindest man I know. He was the best dad you could ask for, as well as a best friend and best man at my wedding. Everyday since the day I was born, he was there for me, always.
It’s difficult to not have him around anymore to ask for advice, create a special memory together or to just talk about our day. I will miss him dearly.
