To the family of Rosmarie Hagedorn-Rickard, I knew here as Rosie. I only learned of Rosie's passing as I happened to look through the paper. This news came as a shock to me. I remember Rosie and Donny during the days of the singles ministry at BHWCC. Both of them befriended me. Because of Rosie's love for fellowship, she always brought fun and a freewheeling spirit to every singles funtion she attended. You always knew when Rosie was around, even when you couldn't see her in a room. Why" It was because of her indistinguishable laugh. Rosie's laughter rocked the house. I remembered Rosies's joy and funloving spirit; we had many good times together during that era of our lives. Rosie was a very spontaneous and fun person to be around. She was undoubtedly one of my favorite single friends that I ran around with and I grew to like her very much. Because she had so much joy I don't think I ever recall a day when I saw her being down or depresssed. She always found something to laugh about and she was always very upfront and honest in her walk with the Lord Her spontaneity and friendliness always had me laughing. But it wasn't just making people feel good by laughing that Rosie was good at. Rosie was a deep thinker also. She would say things that could really engage you in the deep issues of the Lord. We had many deep and conversations I remember the trip that we all took to Jesus NW back in 1990, I believe it was. I also remember the hospitality shown to me as she invited me over to her mother's house during the Christmas holiday season to taste "real"German food. I had such a great time and her mother was very nice to me. In fact it was the first time that I tasted real German Sauerkraut. It was so much better than than the American version I had grown up with. I want to extend thanks to Donny and the rest of the family and tell them thanks for showing me genuine christian love during that season of our lives. Thiough her spirit is in heaven with Jesus, we will misss her joyfulness and "funlovingness" she shared with us while down here on the earth. Rosie thanks for being a great friend.
