Marie was an honest co-worker. She worked hard in her job, but also in helping each staff feel they belonged. I worked with her for 15 yrs. My first Christmas working at WSH I was unable to go home, so she had me join she and others for Christmas dinner. She also understood my job class and supported me in what I was doing with and for the persons under our care. When there was a change proposed, and it felt as though two staff not even working on our ward were demanding a full change without respect for all job classes, I asked Marie to go with me to a meeting on our ward. She listened until the plan was laid out, and then she defended the importance of what I was also doing. She was loyal -- always. She believed if you helped her, and her colleagues that she would do the same -- whether at work or in the community. She will be missed forever --until we meet again.
