Ronald B. Blatman's Obituary
After a brief illness, Ron rejoined his wife of 51 years, Betty. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ron left the bright lights of the big city to join the US Air Force, where he served 22 years, taking his family in tow around the world. Ron moved onto his second career, retiring to Lakewood, WA, where he worked first for the US Bureau of Prisons and then Washington State Department of Corrections at McNeil Island for 23 years. After his second retirement he volunteered for the USO at McChord Air Force Base and was and Elder at Lakewood Presbyterian church. Ron was also a Freemason.

His children will carry on his legacy: Mike (Melanie) Blatman, Karen (Richard) Blatman-Byers, Mark (Jesse) Blatman, and Scott Blatman. G-pa will be missed by his eight grandchildren, Jeffrey, Katie, Allyson, Matthew, Stephanie, Andy, Jeremy, and Adam.
