Robert Ware's Obituary
Robert Charles Ware “Bob”, 68, of Gig Harbor, Washington, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 31st, 2020. Bob was born on September 26th, 1951 in Canyonville, Oregon, to Leroy and Dorothy Ware. Bob grew up in Myrtle Creek, Oregon with his eight siblings: Barbara, Roger, Phyllis, Mike, Jim, Nancy, Laverne, and David. Upon graduating from South Umpqua High School in 1970, Bob joined the United States Air Force and proudly served as an airplane technician primarily working on the SR-71 from 1970-1974. Just prior to his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he met the love of his life, Helen, in Napa, California. On April 6th, 1975, they were married and re-located to Tacoma, Washington. Bob furthered his service to the United States Air Force as a Civil Service Hydraulic Maintenance Technician at McChord Air Force Base until he retired in 2008.
Bob was a devoted husband and father. He was an incredibly happy man, known for his constant laughter and silly jokes. He enjoyed vacationing with the family but was just as happy designing and completing projects around the house. He was a proud supporter of the 2nd amendment and enjoyed listening to and discussing politics. He was the kind of man that positively impacted the life of everyone that he knew. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Helen, their four children: Rhonda (Alan) Clay, Richard (Keena) Ware, Tamera (Rich) Henry, and Robert (Chancey Welch)Ware, their grandsons: Daniel Staples, Richard Ware, Elliot Ware, and Rick Henry, their granddaughters: Stephanie Ware and Danielle Borck, their great grandchildren; Brody and Haleigh Huffman and Jayson and Audrey Borck. Bob is also survived by five of his nine siblings: Barbara Ware, Phyllis Davis, Nancy (Bill) Warner, Laverne (Wes) McCarley, and David (Tracy) Ware along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no funeral or memorial at this time. A celebration of life will be held when the pandemic has subsided.
