I was also a Chief Resident with Bob in 1963, practiced in Wenatchee (still assisting) and of course went to many many meetings with Bob, watched the boys grow up and think I last saw Scott when he was skiing Mission Ridge. Scott, sounds like you are still in the ski business. I did not realize Bob had a long term illness. Last saw him with Dyann, I think, at a Wash. State Chapter meeting in Chelan several years ago. Barb and I are thankful for the many fond memories we have of Bob and the Leyse family. Our prayers are with you all. Jerry##imported-begin##Gerald (Jerry) and Barbara Gibbons##imported-end##
Dyann,
We feel just terrible about the loss of Bob. Please know that our thoughts and our prayers are with you as you face this difficult time.
We really enjoyed Bob, both as a neat neighbor and as a good friend at the golf club. His wit, wonderful smile and sincerity were trademarks of the great person he was. We enjoyed lot's of fun talks with him when he used to come by our house as he walked MO. He will be missed but never forgotten. Tom and Patty##imported-begin##Tom and Patty Watters##imported-end##
My sincere condolences. I worked with Dr. Leyse in his Overlake Surgical practice. He was not only my boss but a very dear friend and I think of him with fond memories.##imported-begin##Carol Deputy##imported-end##
I wish to send my heartfelt sympathy to all the family of Dr. Bob and want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers in the loss of your dear husband, father, grandfather and friend of many.
I met Dr. Bob in 1972 when he was my surgeon and he and my husband became friends through various medical situations. He once came to our home in an emergency when our 10 year old daughter had an appendectomy situation and subsequent surgery. He was a humorous man and we shared many laughs together while I was a volunteer at Overlake Hospital where he had his nearby practice. For years we exchanged Christmas cards and kept us up to date with his family. They had a lovely home on Lake Sammamish not far from us. Over the years I'd run into him and one of his sons graduated from Sammamish H.S. the same time as the daughter he treated and we met at the U of W on graduation day and hugged! He was always in our thoughts after he left the Bellevue area. We shall always cherish the years we knew him and may his candle burn brightly through all eternity.##imported-begin##Ruth Adams##imported-end##
