Every time that we went to visit our Washington family, Uncle Bob and Aunt Darlene had something planned that was special. We went on a submarine, up in the Space Needle, on the ferry, to the ocean, to the beautiful homes that Uncle Bob built, up and down the freeway where we experienced more traffic in one hour that we usually saw in a year's time. They looked for seashells at the ocean with us as though they had never seen seashells before our visit. They were fun. When we had dinner at their home, Uncle Bob sat at the kid's table because the chairs were "just the right size" for him. A gentle, loving couple who made a difference in many lives and asked for very little in return. I am thankful that, even though we lived so far away, we were able to know and love Uncle Bob and Aunt Darlene and knew that they loved us too.##imported-begin##Lenna Olsen##imported-end##
