The true sadness in Rob's passing is he was in the happiest time in his life. His connection with Heather had shown a light on his life. It is a great waste that they will not get to share that bright future together.

Hello,

My name is Julie and I had the privilege of being Roberts Academic Advisor at UW Tacoma. Upon meeting him, I knew he was a very special person and that he would do very well at UWT. I had the privilege of guiding him through his classes, helping him declare his major and ensure that he could move forward successfully at UWT! He took much initiative on his own to figure out his classes and I was so proud of the courage he had to come back to school. The meetings I had with him were always a joy. I am so sorry for the loss, this is awful!! How sudden and sad!! Robert will be missed at UWT that is certain. All my prayers to your family at this time. All my best.

Personally, I did not have the opportunity to meet Robert. However, since his passing there has been an outpouring of positive comments about his engagement on campus and wonderful relationships with fellow students, faculty and staff members. He was the type of person and student who embodies the core values of UW Tacoma. Our campus misses him already!
