Robert C. Patrick's Obituary
Bob passed away December 2, 2005 at the age of 92 years. Bob was born to Charles and Alice Patrick, November 7, 1913 in Tacoma, WA. He was serving aboard the USS California and was on duty December 7, 1941. When asked how he survived being trapped in rising oil and water his reply was, Â"I waited for them to come and get me.Â" After Pearl Harbor, Bob stayed aboard the USS Louisville until the end of WWII. Bob spent many years with the Milwaukee Railroad as a fireman then engineer before retiring in 1975. He has been a resident of Eatonville, WA for thirty years. Bob leaves behind his sister, Ethel Adams; nieces Cathy Moore, Carol (George) Weymouth, Christie (George) Conner, Connie (Ken) Worsley; nephew Dick (Yvonne) Patrick; and all their families. He is also survived by stepson Al (Ruth) Schacherer, stepdaughters Mary Anne (David) Hansen and Nina Scacherer, and their families.Bob was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerna, brother George Patrick, great-nephew Michael Clay Templin, and great-great-niece Taylor Elizabeth Tempiln.We wish to extend our thanks to BobÂ's physicians, nurses, and staff at Good Samaritan Hospital for their kindness and care.Viewing will be 11:00 AM Â- 9:00 PM, Friday, December 9, 2005, at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 10, 2005, in the Mountain View Garden Chapel.
