Robert G. Benson's Obituary
Robert G. Benson, born February 2, 1942. Our beloved Mountain Man passed away on June 9, 2018 after several times defying the grim reaper. He served in the U.S. Navy, worked for the U.S. Post Office, and was a warehouseman at Ft. Lewis. He spent several years in Eatonville, WA where he met and made many friends at the Senior Center. He was an animal lover, a people person and fascinating conversationalist with a wacky sense of humor.
Survived by his sister Sharon (Terry) Osborne in Aberdeen, SD and three nephews, Jason, Darren, and Trent. He will be cremated and inurned at Tahoma National Cemetery. He will be very much missed by cousins Dorothy and Soni but he will be so content to rest in peace with his adored Dad, Gunnar Benson.
There will be no funeral service but any donations to Franciscan Hospice would be much appreciated and a great big thanks to all the staff at Orchard Park Nursing Home. You are all awesome.
