Richard Bruce Hoefer's Obituary
Richard B. Hoefer, 70, passed away on January 1, 2014, in Ocean Shores, WA. He was born on September 16, 1943 in Roseburg, OR. to George Henry and Viola Fern (Bailey) Hoefer.
Richard married Margaret West on December 11, 1970 in Tacoma, WA. Richard was capable of fixing anything and everything in life, from a broken toy to a broken heart. He served in the Air Force for four years as a Military Police Officer. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic, fleet director for Coca-Cola and driver for Automotive Specialists. He loved smoking meats, his most recent hobby. He loved camping with his family, and sitting around the fire enjoying conversation with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret; sons Richard (Audrey), David (Guy), Robin (Diana), Timothy (Julie) and Ronald Hoefer; daughter Hollie Stone(Brian); daughter-in-law Cece Hoefer; brothers Roy and Chuck; sister Madelyn Winfrey; grandchildren Stephanie, Kayla, Kimberly, Brianna, Christopher, Devyn, Maci, Rylie, Cayden, Emily, Connor, Brytton, and Lexie. He is also survived by his dog Maggie Mae, whom he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis, four brothers, and one sister.
Graveside service will be held at 1:30pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. A celebration of life reception will be held following the graveside service at 3:30PM at Timothy's home in Tacoma, WA.
