When my family lived in the Dominican Republic, Einar Peterson "Uncle Einar" was a adoptive grandfather to me. I have many fond memories of days out at the Bible School farm. "Aunt Rachel" would make us waffles and milkshakes for supper, which was a real treat. When everyone would go to the beach together I always got to ride with Uncle Einar which was so much more exciting than riding with my parents. He drove like a Dominican, speeding and honking his horn and making the trip a real adventure. We always beat everyone else to the beach.
Most of all I remeber the time and attention he gave a little girl. A man without pretension who devoted his life to the service of God and his fellow man,it was privelge to know him.##imported-begin##Jeanne Thomas Proffitt##imported-end##
