It was our privilege to know and work with Ralph at our former company. His friendship was real and he truly was a fine man. Like all who knew him, we too will miss him. We send our condolences to Tomoko and all of Ralph's family.##imported-begin##Gene & Margaret Pankey##imported-end##
I work in advertising sales at the News Tribune. When I started this job, Ralph was the first automotive sales manager I met at Tacoma Dodge that I would be dealing with. He was incredibly kind and patient. Years later I ran into him again at Gene Pankey Motors, not knowing he worked there at the time. He came out of his office and gave me a big hug. I couldn't believe he even remembered me. But I certainly rememberd him. A true southern gentleman indeed. What a wonderul world this would be if it consisted of more people like Ralph. My deepest, sincere condolences. He will be missed. JeAnette Colyer##imported-begin##JeAnette Colyer##imported-end##

OUR CONDOLENCES TO THE BOWLES AND HILL FAMILIES. RALPH WAS A SPECIAL MAN/PERSON. HE WAS VERY WELL KNOWN AND RESPECTED IN THE AUTOMOTIVE BUSINESS. HE CERTAINLY TOUCHED OUR LIVES AND GAINED OUR THOROUGH RESPECT AS A FRIEND AND A BUSINESS MAN. HE LEFT A GREAT LEGACY THROUGH HIS FAMILY WHO HAVE BECOME OUR FAMILY ALSO. THIS WORLD LOST A WONDERFUL MAN, AND HEAVEN GAINED A NEW SON. HE WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS AS WILL HIS FAMILY.

I met Ralph when he came to work for the Gene Pankey Motor Company and we became instant friends. Ralph and I had similar thoughts on many things. After he retired from our company we became "E-Mail buddies," and exchanged mail on the things he and I found important: patriotism, loyalty, faith and family.
Ralph has been described as a true southern gentleman, and that he was. But Ralph was a true "gentle man" as well. My life was enriched for having known him. I will miss him greatly.
My wife and I send our deepest sympathy to Tomoko and the children.##imported-begin##Pat Johnson##imported-end##
