Rafael (Dino) Cedeño passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 4, 2014 @ 5:52pm. Dino was surrounded by his loving wife of 42 yrs, Nilda along with family members and friends @ Madigan Army Medical Center.
Dino was born on March 20, 1946 in New York City to Ramon Cedeño and Auristela Antonmarchi Cedeño. Dino was a veteran of the US Army being honorably discharged on 10/1/1983 on a medical discharge. Dino was also an exceptional cook, having worked @ Marzano’s Restaurant as a chef. Dino’s other joy in life was music. He sang for Dino & The Diplomats as a young teenager in New York and since 1982 sang with Dino & The Classics, The High Rollers, Sonic Oasis and then again with The High Rollers where he ended in December 2012, when he could no longer sing with his great voice due to his illness.
Dino is survived by his wife, Nilda, 2 grandchildren, 5 brothers and 5 sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Dino was preceded in death by his son, parents, sister and 2 brothers.
Nilda would like to thank ICU East, 2South & 6North @ Madigan Army Medical Center along with the Palliative Care team for their exceptional and compassionate care during his final days.
Dino will be truly missed as he touched many lives with his personality, singing, cooking and his goodness to all.
At Dino’s request there will be a private cremation and private Military Honor service at his gravesite. Mass will be held 3pm, Monday, March 24, 2014 @ St Francis Cabrini in Lakewood WA
