Some of my best memories are of the times I spent at the old house on Gravelly Lake Dr. with you John your Mom and the rest of your family and I just wanted to send along our condolances and prayers .

Your mom was a wonderful friend to my mom. I was comforted at my mom's memorial service (LouAnn Dysart) when I learned Phyllis was the last person to talk to her. It was great to see Kevin, Kip and John also. My sister, Carol, said you were all there to say good-bye when she left this world to be greeted by our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

During the summers and from time to time, Phillis and I together had four active happy little kids when Phillis had the greatest swimming pool ever. “The best for cannon balls “Adam said! I spent hours around the pool with Phillis talking about you four, her academic predictions and where education might lead you. Phillis seemed to enjoy those summers watching you as you two shows us how you could swim under water “like a fishÂâ€. She would applaud like she had never seen such a wonderful thing.
Like you IÂ’m sure, I miss Phillis already, and I have some great memories of her. I vow never to let you forget. Adam and Cara for what itÂ’s worth, I am writing to remind you that I got to see (just for a few summers) how much your grandma Phillis seemed to really love and enjoy having you with her.
Along with you and you family, I want to send my heartfelt prayers that your grandmother rest in peace.

Dear Adam and Cara (grandchildren of PhillisÂ’Â…son and daughter of John),
I am writing to you to express my condolences and to share with you a story that may be of some comfort to you today.
My sister was a good friend of your MomÂ’s. I met your parents in 1988 and an instant friendship was formed ...one thing led to another and Â… as you well know, when you were young, I cared for you during the day while your Mom went to school and your dad worked with Kevin. Adam you were about 3 and Cara, you were about 6 months old. My son also was about 3 and I was expecting my second.
Several years later, I was emotional, as well as your folks, when we watched you two ( as well as my two) enter school. It seemed so quiet around my house. . It wasnÂ’t too much longer that my husband and I were tranfered from Yakima to the University Place area to follow his career.
Who would have thunk that shortly after we settleded into our quiet little neighborhood that I find out from John that his mom lives just down the street! What a coincidence and what fun!

I have such wonderful memories of times with your mom. Our late evening talks when I was younger. The lives of our families have been intertwined for many years. I know our mothers are now both at peace and would be happy to know they are once again neighbors. I won't be able to make the services but want you to know that you are all in my heart and prayers.
