Phillip George Murray's Obituary
Phillip George Murray (Phil), 77, of Tacoma passed away peacefully July 5, 2014. Born May 6, 1937 in Portland OR, Phil was a retired Sheriff’s Lieutenant for Pierce County WA and an Air Force veteran.
Phil is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline Murray. He is also survived by his son Phil of AZ, Don of IL, Kathy Shuman NC, Tom of Tacoma, and four grandchildren.
He proudly served in the USAF and while stationed in Salina KS he met the love of his life Jackie they married and began a 56 year journey together. Phil had a passion for cars, loved to be outside in his yard manicuring the landscaping, a love for animals and his dogs Casey Sr, Casey Jr, and Fritz.
A celebration of life service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Celebration of Life Center Aspen Chapel in Lakewood, Saturday, July 12, 2014, 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Leukemia research.
