Penny Renee' Epps-McIntosh's Obituary
Penny Renee’ Epps-McIntosh, age 58, was born August 24, 1962 in Washington, D.C. to Darlene Epps. Claude Harris became her surrogate father in November, 1969. She passed away on March 16, 2021, after a long, hard fought battle with Lupus.
Penny spent most of her childhood in Tacoma, Washington, and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1980. She went on to earn a Bachelor degree in Business & Finance from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Washington in 1986. She married David McIntosh, September 5, 1998 and spent her career working for Discover Card.
Penny was known for her loving spirit, grace and generous heart. She loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, and loved the Lord. She worked tirelessly to make sure she was there to show support for her loved ones and her genuine kindness will forever be missed.
Penny was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Thelma Weatherby; aunts, Evangelene Weatherby and Linda Weatherby, and cousins Walter Weatherby and Tamara Weatherby.
Penny is survived by her parents, Darlene Anderson and Claude Harris; husband, David McIntosh; a step-daughter, Danielle McIntosh; siblings, Gregory Epps and Karla Douglas; uncles, Andrew Weatherby (Dee Weatherby) and Charles Weatherby, MD (Shauna Weatherby); a niece, Shekeylia Douglas; a nephew, Timothy Douglas II (Breana Douglas); her great-niece, Oaklyn Douglas; a goddaughter, Jordan Fry and a host of cousins and friends.
Her services and burial will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lakewood, Washington.
The service will be live streamed for those who cannot make it.
