Norman Slaughter's Obituary
Norman E. Slaughter, slipped away quietly on Feb. 29, 2008. Born Nov. 13, 1926 In Floral Park, New York. Surviving him, wife Joan, of 57 years, son Roger, daughters Kathie, Carolyn, Jayne, Patti and Dorothy. 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, twin sisters, Helen and Ruth, of New York, cousin , Charlie of Arizona. He joined the Navy, as a young man in WW II. After the war, he re-enlisted in the Air Force, becoming a pilot. He filled out his career as a Lt. Col., based out of McChord AFB. He received his BA from Boston University, and a Masters in Business/Transportation Management from Northwestern University. Public Viewing will be Wed., March 5 , 1pm-8pm, at Mountain View Funeral Home Lakewood, Wa., Military Service in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View 11:00am, Thursday, March 6, Burial to follow at Tahoma National Cemetery, in Kent.
