Oh my I am so sorry I met Nina when I was welcomed to their family when I was 13 years old I was in the Big Brother/Big Sister program and Kim Moore was/is my Big Brother so I met a lot of the family members on both Kim and Jo Moore's sides of their families and all of them took me in like I belonged there it was kinda of funny because Tom and Nina have a daughter named Jamie as well so I became Big Jamie to all the kids I am so truly sorry to hear of her passing my heart is broken tonight but I am at peace know God needed a beautiful angel and he got one. It's been years since I have seen her but she will always be in my heart RIP you beautiful angel I will never forget how you took this 13 year old kid in to your family and you all changed my life forever love and hugs to you all and Nina I will see you again. I don't know what to say about my aunt Nina, but thinking about her now makes me cry. When I was young I thought she was so pretty, and her long blonde hair was gorgeous. (I didn't stop thinking she was beautiful, I just have strong memories of those thoughts as a child.) I remember the few times that my parents would go on trips, and she'd stay at our house to watch me and my brothers, I'd be so excited at school that I'd draw her so many pictures to give her when I got home. I was always excited to see her, and she had a gentleness about her that reminded me of my grandma Beulah. And I loved them both.

One of the last things she said to me, through Facebook was:

I have no regrets. Please no regret. Don't feel bad about anything.

I'll try not to, and I'm happy your life ended with you at such peace. I'm sad that I didn't get to see her again (but hopefully someday, I will.)

I met Nina in 9th grade at Grey. My name is Charlene Ramsdell (Kai). We became fast friends with Shirley Stevens and spent many years together getting into trouble. We thought we were just being teenagers. Back in the day, you could hitch hike and not worry, we did so many times. I would kill my kids now if they did that! We were so innocent of the world. The times of the 70's drug scene....yes we smoked pot. We shared clothes and our hearts with each other.

We lost touch after high school, I got married right away and then had children.

We met again at the last reunion and shared photos of our grandchildren. It was like we never had all those years separate us.

I just remember we laughed so much always. I remember when she broke her collar bone right before prom from riding her bike. Going to the Tacoma Mall after school almost everyday and trying on clothes at the Bon.

Jaime you are her greatest gift. Her grandchildren her most precious. She only had 1 at the reunion. She was so protective of him.

Tom you are the love of her life. I am so happy you had each other and many years together. Wish you had more.

Nina had such a sweet soul and was so much fun to be around. Seahawks games at Meconi's will not be the same without her. RIP sweet Nina. You will be missed! <3

Nina was a great friend and devoted to her two grandsons. She never let a moment pass without sharing about their latest activity or showing their most recent pictures.

I remember Nina well from Jr. High and High School., and I'm so glad that our high school reunion committee brought us back together ten years ago. We had many great times watching Tom's band play, meeting for drinks, or watching Seahawks games.

Nina was nearly as devoted to her beloved Seahawks as she was to her family. I will miss watching games with her and Tom at Meconi's, or getting those text or Facebook messages from her about the latest team news.

RIP Nina. You are and will be greatly missed.

Nina was my best friend grew up with in the South Tacoma area. My second mom was her mom and we were like sisters. We even wore the same color dress to our 9th grade party. I miss her terribly. Hugs to Jolene, Jaime and Tom. Glad I will see her in Heaven someday. C u soon.
