Terri,
I didn't know Nate well, but I remember how, at your wedding, you were both so joyful. The tributes show just how many people this good man touched and mentored, and still does, I'm sure. It seems so unfair for such a good man to be taken away. It doesn't make any sense. But you are a strong woman, and you'll get through this. As you said, Nate taught his children to be strong, and enjoy life to the fullest. I'm sure you have always done the same thing. Draw some of that strength from them, as you try to help them understand. A month has passed; we're all still right here with you, thinking about you.

Johnson Family,
You have our deepest sympathies. My husband and I had every intention of coming to the memorial to pay our respects to a 1st cousin (Nathaniel) I only met once as a young child visiting Monroeville, AL. However, tragedy struck closer to home (Nathaniel's uncle but my father took a turn for the worse and passed 3 days later following Nathaniel's memorial service). Again, Terri and family, you have our deepest sympathies.

Terri, I am truly saddened by Nathaniel's passing. I met him in Germany, where we were stationed at the 85th Maintenance Company. We also went to the first Gulf War (Desert Storm) and then to Fort Lewis.

Johnson family,
I know words can't discribe the lost of a family member, especially a Father. "Busta"has inspired me as a young cousin growing up in Alabama. He is the reason I joined the Military. Seeing him coming home as a man with so much pride and appreciation for life was my inspiration. I seen how he interacted with his kids gave me the drive to have a large family myself. He has touch my life in so many ways. I know living in the same house with a man of this status has to be truely a blessing. He has left his inspirations behind for his kids and wife Terri. Terri keep your family close to God and "Nate" will continue to inspire. Florence and I am sorry for the lost of your oldest son. I know the pain feels unbearable, but with time it will ease. Lucy, Fay, Kat, and Bean, I am feeling the same sadness and sorrow as you are. I feel like I have lost my brother. Lord, you said in your word, that a good man leaves an inheritance to his children. Proverbs 13:22
Buster not only left an inheritance to his children, he left one for his family and friends. As a child, I can remember Buster as giving and caring. He always was quiet and kept to himself.
